Contains recycled raw materials
recycling involves transforming residual or end of life mate- rials and reusing them in a new manufacturing process to make them into a similar or associated material: office paper can be recycled into a newspaper paper.
Paper can be recycled up to 7 times and can even contain organic residues, like paper made from waste from almonds, olives or seaweed, which feature strongly in our collections.
A product can be made entirely or partly from recycled raw materials. This pictogram indicates that a product contains such materials and the product description gives details.
Contains upcycled raw materials
unlike recycling, Upcycling does not involve reinjecting or reworking the material. The material is used for a different purpose without being treated and wit- hout any other resource. Paper remnants stays paper and by upcycling it, we give it new life as a post card, for example, or a block of paper under a set of pencils, in a perfect format for writing your to-do lists.
Upcycling therefore helps minimise the environmental impact.
Several La Petite Papeterie Française products contain a discreet upcycled part which gives them added value. This pictogram indicates that a product contains such materials and the product description gives details.
Traditional, artisanal production/know-how
using local skills also helps us to be closer to arti- san and often traditional know-how. We choose whether to work with an artisan or use manual work or a mechanical process. This pictogram indicates if the product benefits from this type of production.
